Duration: 78 Weeks (60 study weeks and up to 18 break weeks)
- International students must be at least 18 years of age
- Students must demonstrate English language proficiency at IELTS 5.5 or equivalent
- Students must have an Australian Higher School Certificate or equivalent
- Students must pass Working With Children/Vulnerable People Check (including Police Clearance) in the state or territory you are planning to work in, prior to work placement
Intakes: January, April, July and October.
Timetable: 20 hours per week, including classroom, online learning and work placement.
Work Placement: This course requires 360 hours of supervised work placement in a regulated child care service between the ages of 0-6. A minimum 120 hours is to be completed with babies 0-2 years of age.
Please note: If you have completed CHC30113 Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care, you will only be required to complete 240 hours of work placement. Within those 240 hours, you are still required to complete at least 120 hours with babies 0-2 years of age.
Assessment: Our courses involve a combination of classroom and online learning, practical sessions, research and project work, plus work placement in a registered education and care organisation. Students are required to attend classroom-based face-to-face training and to study online in their own time. We utilise a range of assessment methods, including role plays, written assessments, skills demonstration, projects, presentations, training records and work samples for the assessment of competency.
