OVERVIEW

This course will give you the skills and knowledge to deliver, manage and coordinate a person-centred service to individuals, groups, and communities. You will learn specialised skills in community services to work autonomously within the scope of practice under broad directions from senior management. As well as how to support people to make change in their lives to improve personal and social wellbeing and learn how to take responsibility for the supervision of other workers and volunteers.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
  • International students must be at least 18 years of age
  • Students must demonstrate English language proficiency at IELTS 6.0 or equivalent
  • Students must have an Australian Higher School Certificate or equivalent
  • Student must pass the Police check in the state or territory you are planning to work in, prior to work placement.
  • Student must have vaccinations against infectious disease prior to work placement.
Assessment

Our courses involve a combination of classroom and online learning, practical sessions, research and project work. We utilise a range of assessment methods including role plays, written assessments, skills demonstration, projects, presentations, training records and work samples for the assessment of competency.
