“Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world.”
Working as a childcare professional can be a very rewarding and enriching experience. Early childhood education helps to introduce children to a world of lifelong learning. As an Early Childhood Educator, you need to provide children with a safe and stimulating environment where children can interact with others and it provides a home away from their home.
The most important age of a child’s development
Today’s children are tomorrow’s future, and the most important age of the development of a child is from 0-5 years of age. The quality of care you provide to children in the early years, and the relationships you build with them is crucial for their development. This means that when working as an Early Childhood Educator you have a major impact on a child’s start to life.
Your day is constantly filled with lots of fun and laughter, and stories based on the imagination of children, which is fulfilling for any educator. When children feel that they are loved, nurtured and cared for they develop a sense of trust and security that turns into confidence. Knowing that you are critical part of a child’s life makes childcare a very satisfying career.
I’m a trainer at Kirana Colleges Australia
I am proud to be a trainer at Kirana Colleges Australia, specialising in Early Childhood training for the last five years. I have spent 14 years working in the childcare industry and have experience in many different roles including; Childcare Area Manager, Childcare Centre Director, and as an Early Childhood Educator working across all age groups. This experience enables me to understand the training requirements for these roles, and how to ensure our graduates complete their qualifications with job ready skills.
I get great satisfaction knowing that I make a difference in my students’ lives by providing them with a welcoming, nurturing environment in which they can be challenged to grow and pursue their dreams and ambitions.
